  • 1 large head of green or red cabbage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (or use Newman's Own Italian Dressing)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or substitute with chimichurri seasoning)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Prepare Cabbage: Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick rounds (steaks). Lay them flat on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Season:
    Option 1: Brush each steak with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
    Option 2: Replace olive oil with Newman's Own Italian Dressing for a tangy, herbaceous flavor.
    Option 3: Sprinkle chimichurri seasoning over the steaks for a bold, herby kick.
  • Roast: Bake the steaks for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and caramelized on the edges.
